Even In Darkness Blog Tour

I thought it was over, that all our troubles were behind us.
We had a fairytale castle wedding surrounded by family and friends. Aiden wore a dress kilt, looking so handsome it made my heart squeeze, and I floated on air in a white version of the ball gown he’d cast for me in Versailles. Flower girl, ring bearer, Scottish ceilidh afterward—check, check, and check. It was perfect.

We were supposed to live happily ever after.

But that was before I walked in to find another woman in his bed, a demon with blood red eyes who’d disguised herself as me in order to get what she wanted most: a child from a heaven transporter.

And it was in that moment—watching my entire world crumble to the ground—that I knew.

This was not over. Not by a long shot.

My Review: 5 Stars

I've read all three books in the Between series and let me tell you, you DO NOT want to miss this one. The first two books were fantastic, but this one takes it somewhere entirely new. Epic amounts of adventure and romance, and so many questions that I didn't even know who I was rooting for half the time. Passion and excitement radiated from every page. Beautifully written, this high-seas adventure will have you falling even more in love with Tefft's amazing characters and eating up every word until the very end.

Aiden and Lindsay are back and better than ever. When everything starts to get confusing, they still manage to find their way back to one another. Lindsay is one of my favorite heroines. No matter what is thrown at her (and Tefft throws a LOT at her) she always manages to keep her head. She's one of the strongest female leads I've read and this time is no different. Even with her world spiraling out of control, she stands up for herself and those she loves. She isn't the classic damsel in distress, instead she gets to play the rescuer, and it's a refreshing change of pace. And, Aiden? Well, Aiden is Aiden. Enough said. *Swoon*

As usual, Tefft does a beautiful job with the imagery. The story just floats off the page and immerses you. Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down and the end left me very anxious to get my hands on the next book. Hurry, Cyndi, hurry!!!

Grab your copy here, today!

Meet Cyndi

Cyndi Tefft lives with her family in the Pacific Northwest where the weather is overcast and rainy, much like the Highlands of Scotland. So she was right at home when she got the chance to visit Eilean Donan Castle.

A self-proclaimed Scot-freak, she loved every bit about the trip to Scotland: the people, the kilts, the accents, the fish and chips, the haggis . . . well okay, not the haggis.

Soooo, to say thank you, I have the official blurb for NOW or NEVER to share with you!

To move on,
Leave the past behind,
And build a new life with Jay.
That’s all Em wanted. After everything they’d been through together, they were both overdue their ‘happily ever after’. Too bad the world doesn’t work that way. Memories last longer than dreams and Em’s fears continue to plague her both day and night, interfering with that new life she so desperately craves.

To start over,
Secure a future,
And give Em the life she deserves.
That was Jay’s plan, but the past isn’t done with them, yet. While Em still struggles to overcome the ghosts of her past, Jay is forced to come face to face with his. When the skeletons in his closet step back into the light, Jay must decide what he will do—and what he will sacrifice—to protect Em from them.

Against all odds, Em and Jay are on the verge of having everything they’ve ever wanted. They’ve fought for it before, but is their love strong enough to endure any more heartache? The time has come for each of them to choose for themselves whether or not they will allow the past to continue to corrupt their future. And, together, they must decide, will it be . . . NOW OR NEVER?

You can add is to your Goodreads shelf here.

Excited for more? Don't forget, you can read the complete first chapter of NOW or NEVER in the paperback version of SINK or SWIM. Annnnd, it's in Jay's POV. Just sayin' ;)

Thank you all again for all of your support. Little by little, day by day my dreams are coming true. And that is because of you. You guys rock!

Blogger Book Fair Spotlight-Psyched by Juli Caldwell

Cover Art by Morteque
http://morteque.deviantart.com/

You can find it on Amazon, Smashwords, and in paperback at CreateSpace!

So far, great reviews for Psyched!

"This is one of those books you just can't put down. What I
love about Psyched in addition to a great, spooky story is strong characters
and narrative voice. Aisi is the most awesome chick, strong-willed, sassy, and
deals with some crazy stuff happening with a spunkiness that I loved...
Psyched is well-written, riveting,
surprising and genre-busting. Teens will love this book, but it definitely has
a more wide-ranging appeal
."

and...

"Aisi Turay is one awesome girl. She
has power to see the dead...as in their souls...This is a great read, filled
with suspense. I NEVER knew from one chapter to the next what was happening. It
is well written and a very enjoyable...and a bit scary!
"

Psyched is part ghost story, part suspense, part demon-hunting thriller, part budding romance. It's the story of a girl named Aisi who's doing her best to keep it together for her wreck of a family. She is smart, sassy, and sarcastic enough to keep things interesting. When she meets Vance on the single worst day of her life, she finds a guy who just might be the first person ever to get her, to believe in her, and to out-random her with bizarre observations at the worst possible moment. There's just something about him that she knows she can trust.

Together, Aisi and Vance wander through the memories of others to unlock the secrets of her past while battling a demon who wants to ensure she never finds what she's looking for. Aisi vanquishes demons all the time, but Malus Indolus is too strong. And he has plans for her...and her family.

Psyched is Juli's second novel, the first as an indie writer, and her first experiment with her true love as a reader: paranormal fiction. Her debut novel Beyond Perfection is also available.

You can find Juli on Twitter, Facebook,  and her blog.

Juli was kind enough toshare an excerpt with us today:

“But as I said,” Father J continued, “you must know more. There are other pieces to this puzzle, and to understand how they fit together, we must go back.”
Aisi trembled. She didn’t want to cry, but she couldn’t handle it again. Those visions, seeing those horrible things. “I…can’t,” she replied, trying not to choke on her words.
Father J cast a glance at Vance. “He can see what you want him to see.”
Vance looked startled as the words sank into Aisi. “What do you mean, I can see?”
“Aisi can see whatever she wants, whenever she wants. Part of her gift—”
“Gift, curse, whatever,” she muttered, interrupting.
“Part of her gift,” Father J continued, his voice clear and firm, “is she can share what she wants. Just as she saw her father’s history by touching my hands, so too can you see what she sees by touching hers.”
Vance shook his head, surprised. He took a step back and ran his fingers through his hair, making the sandy brown strands stand on end. “Wow. But…why me? I mean, can anyone see what she sees if she wants?”
“Simply put, Vance, you believe. You believe in her. You are the first to see Aisi as she truly is, yet you do not fear. You have faith in a world people refuse to see, a realm they choose to fear. Such a thin veil separates us from the dead and from the savage unborn. You are not chosen; you chose yourself. Only those who believe in her and in themselves can see. As with everything we do in this life, we live with the consequences of what we choose to believe.”
Vance took a long look at Aisi, searching her face. She felt his eyes on her, saw him in her mind even though she refused to make eye contact. His mouth opened and closed, and he seemed to work up his courage as he asked, “Aisi? Do you want me to see what you can see?”
She looked up in surprise. That was so not what she expected. She thought freakishly intense ghost hunter boy would jump at the chance to use her abilities to look for ghosts or hunt down some demons. After he’d willingly let a demon take control of him, she was sure he’d take advantage of her to get an A+ on his stupid school project. Instead, he asked permission.

Sink or Swim Cover Reveal!!!!

Today I am so, so, so excited to share with you the absolutely gorgeous cover Regina Wamba of Mae I Design and Photography has created for Sink or Swim! What do you think???

There are some things you just can't walk away from.

When sleeping in vacant warehouses and dark alleys becomes preferable to living at home, something is seriously wrong. But when word reaches Allie that her mother is facing a life threatening illness, she has no choice but to return to the place of nightmares. Leaving wasn't a choice, it was a necessity, and if returning hadn't been equally necessary, Allie never would have set foot back inside that hell-hole.

Dean is no stranger to hardship, but the day Allie walked out of his life, taking his heart right along with her, was hands-down the most frustrating. Six months later, she's back and Dean refuses to rest until he figures out exactly what the hell happened.

Now, Allie's drowning. Drowning in lies. Drowning in the truth. Drowning in pain, and anger, and fear. But there comes a time when every drowning person must decide whether they will... Sink or Swim?

Love it as much as I do? Of course you do!

Now, on to some more goodies I have in store for you, my lovelies . . .

Up first, is a never before revealed teaser trailer for Sink or Swim. Made it myself so cut me a little slack. I'm an author, not an artist for a reason ;) Hope you enjoy it.
*Warning: Contains mature language*

Last but not least, I know e-books are the hot reads right now. Wave of the future, and all that, but I will always have a soft spot for a good old fashioned paperback. To help support the endangered species that it has become, I am offering an added incentive to anyone who purchases Sink or Swim in paperback format.
Want to know what it is? Of course you do.
What's up with all these dumb questions anyway?
But, I digress . . . If you buy a paperback copy of Sink or Swim and flip to the very end, you will find the first full chapter of Now or Never (Fight or Fight #2). And ladies, it's Jay's POV. Just sayin' you may not want to wait until the Fall to see this. ;)

Haven't read Fight or Flight yet? That's okay.
While Sink or Swim is a spin-off of that original book, it's not necessary to have read it first.
However . . . if you would like to, Fight or Flight will be on SALE for only 99 CENT Sun (7/21)-Mon (7/22) to celebrate the release of Sink or Swim. Grab your copy here and start at the very beginning.

Cover Reveal

Hey guys! Today I get the pleasure of sharing with all of you the gorgeous cover of Amber Garza's new book, Tripping Me Up.

I may not have special powers, but sometimes I think I'm invisible. No one in my high school seems to notice me at all. When they finally do it's because the popular Tripp Bauer accidently smacks me in the face with a wad of paper. Talk about humiliating.
Only now he keeps talking to me.
At first it was to apologize, and I figured once I forgave him he'd go away. But he doesn't, and now my feelings for him are starting to grow. And that scares me. Guys like Tripp Bauer don't fall for girls like me. Or do they?

Expected Release - August 2013
