5 Star Review for Temptation!

A big thank you to the lovely Lisa of Lisa's Reads for the wonderful review of Temptation.

"Usually, I am not one for novellas. I find them to be too short, too rushed, and too forced. I get sucked into the stories that I am read, with short stories..by the time I identify with the characters the story is wrapping up. This was not the case with “Temptation”. Ms. Canosa managed to put more story in 94 pages than some authors are able to do in twice that amount.

When we first meet Melody, she is moving boxes from the moving truck into the home she and her mom just moved halfway across the country to live in. Her mother works a demanding job that keeps her away from home at all sort of crazy hours. School has just let out for the summer and Melody has no place she has to be..translation…no forced way of making friends. It’s a shame that the beautiful boy, Lucas, who lives next door seems to need an attitude adjustment. So it’s a good thing that she meets funny, helpful, and handsome Jason when she goes into town to grab a quick bite to eat. When both boys start to take an interest in Melody and both warn her against the other, the love triangle starts to heat up. Things aren’t always what they seem and Melody is beginning to think that something may be slightly…off. While the premise of this story may not be completely original, Ms. Canosa makes up for it with her ability to “show” and not “tell” the story. Ms. Canosa’s descriptions allow her readers to actually watch the story unfold without the over telling that can sometimes come with too many unneeded words. Melody, Jason, and Lucas are vibrant and colorful. They are fresh and easy to fall in love with (but maybe that’s a bad thing..hmm?!) I really enjoyed every page of this story. I was sad when it was over! There is so much more that this new author can write about these characters and I want more!! This could be a series."

What I Got Goin On

I know I don't update this thing near as often as I should because we all know that you're just dying to know all the juicy details of my thrilling life, but here's a little secret for ya . . . my life isn't all that thrilling actually. Plus, despite the fact that my life is pretty boring, I've actually been quite busy. Hard to believe, I know. Anyway here's a quicky update on all the things I've got going on at the moment and you can start looking forward to sometime in the (hopefully not too distant) future.

I just handed in (yes, like school) my edits for Our Own Worst Enemies, a brain melting zombie short that is due out as part of a collection of Halloween Horrors sometime in October. You can check out the  link at the top of my blog page for more info on that one.

I am currently waiting on edits for How We Came To Be, a contemprary romance short that should also be coming out sometime in the near future. More details on that to come as I get them.

Also, I am on pins and needles waiting for the edits to come back on my first full length novel. They're due (yes, still like school) back in September. Then I will hopefully have some seriously freak out worthy news for you all once I've had the chance to query a publisher.

Annnnnd, then there is my current WIP. Another full length novel that I am also VERY excited about. All I can really say about that right this moment is that it's a contemporary with, of course, a healthy dose of romance thrown in, and it's about halfway done.

All of that would be what's been keeping my fingers and, on occassion, my mind busy lately. So, I do apologize for skimping on these oh-so-thrilling updates, but I promise to let you know the moment I have anything else new to pass on. Hopefully, soon there will be some big news to share and my fingers will be flying over the keyboard to keep you up to date. Until then . . . happy reading :)

Crazy, exciting, super thrilling, fantastic, make your head spin news!!!

Alright, well I think it's that exciting, but I may be a little biased. Here it is anyway, so you can judge for yourself.

I just signed the contract for my latest publication!!!

Now, does that mean I have all sorts of thrilling details to share with you? Of course not. Seriously, do I ever really know what's going on in my life??? No, not really.

Here is what I do know:

It's a young adult, contemporary romance entitled, How We Came to Be.

As you can probably gather from the title, it's the story of two young people who face hardships, and overcome some rather intense obstacles on their path to be together.

So, if you enjoyed my story, Temptation, from the It's a Love Thing anthology, I hope you'll check it out.

That's really all I've got for you at the moment, but I promise, Promise, PROMISE to share more details as soon as I have them. Like release dates and little things like that. I can't wait to share my work with you all.
